چکیده
Case-Based Reasoning research has reached a state where a large number of basic problems seems to be “solved”. However, techniques originally developed for CBR applications are being applied in systems that are not CBR systems in the original meaning of the word. This paper wants to extend the traditional view of CBR to overcome its former limitations, to open new fields of research, and to open new application areas. This is achieved by generalizing the classical similarity measure to a utility measure that does not depend on problem descriptions taken from experience any more.
